Ursula Maria Bloat
Liberty, NY

The date was August 31st; the time was 8:07 AM on a beautiful Sunday Morning in New York City. Not a cloud in the sky as the soul of our mother was racing to the heavens to dance once again with her beloved soulmate, the late great Carl Bloat Sr.

It must have been around 71 degrees outside, but inside the temperature was feverish in the fourth floor of the Columbia Presyterian Hospital in the Cardia Care unit where the greatest team of cardiologists attempted to give Ursula Maria Zeir-Bloat yet another day on this planet.

But, alas, her contract with God was very specific and it stated clearly that 75 years, 57 days, 8 hours and 7 minutes will be the total running time of the warm and giving heart. So, Ursula, the beautiful mother of five, grandmother of thirteen and great-grandmother of six boys, girls, cousins, aunts, uncles, mom and dads had lived the full term, and had totally taken full advantage of her agreement with God which commenced at midnight on July 4th in the year of our Lord 1933 and terminated on August 31 in the year of our 2008.

Having lived an amazing life of fun, adventure, love and even family tragedies Ursula smiled every day and said hello to strangers, as if it were OK to do so! Born in a small village in Bavaria, it was here that this German beauty met her soulmate in the park. One beautiful afternoon in Ochsenfurt a young American was driving thru the village in his big American limo, don’t get the wrong idea, this young soldier from Louisville, Kentucky was the General’s Driver in the US Army and stationed in nearby Wurzburg. Teaching us the meaning of God and the love of Jesus as well as art, gymnastics, long and short mathematics and reading too. We were always given the freedom to do whatever we thought was right for us, as long as we did not hurt another, mommy worshiped all of us and was the most proud of your last minute of success, even if that was finding the most round rock you could find. But most of all I will always remember my dancing lessons and the freedom I will always feel from a beautiful waltz. GOD SPEED MOMMY, I WILL MISS YOU. As always, your loving son Carl Henry.

She is survived by an army of loving offspring including her three sons; Carl Henry Bloat Jr. of Liberty, Mark Anthony Bloat and wife Cathy of Liberty and Roger William Bloat and wife Neira of West Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Barbara Ann Guill and husband Jerry of Tempe, AZ and April Marie Bloat of Liberty; a daughter-in-law Kandace Bloat of Liberty; a brother, Martin Mark of Germany; a sister, Irmagard Turner of Louisville KY; 13 grandchildren, Mercedes Ann, Blù Krisstall, Kilian Amadeous, Markie Lynn, Mark Anthony Jr. Faith Crystal, Hope Marie, Melissa, Jillian, Adam, Nikolas William, Carl William Sommer and Joseph Klug and 6 great-grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Klug, Arissa Bree Klug, Brittany Renee Klug, Preston LouisKlug, Abigail Elizabeth Sommer and Lorelei Elise Sommer.
