Historic Preservation sites nominated

ALBANY – A number of properties in the Hudson Valley have been nominated by the New York State Board for Historic Preservation to be added to the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

In Greene County, three sites were nominated -- the Methodist-Episcopal Church of Windham Center in Windham, Woodward Road Stone Arch Bridge in East Durham, and Tannersville Main Street Historic District in Tannersville.

In Orange County, two properties were nominated – St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Walden and Miliken-Smith Farm in Montgomery.

Two properties were also nominated for Rockland County – Johannes Isaac Blauvelt House in Blauvelt and Contempora House in New City.

In Ulster County, one site was nominated – Saugerties Public Library in Saugerties.

In Westchester County, two sites were nominated – Presbyterian Rest for Convalescents in White Plains and Soundview Manor in White Plains.
