Man, two girls plucked from Hudson

CON HOOK – The Rockland County Sheriff’s Marine Union saved a man and two girls when their boat capsized in the Hudson River near Con Hook Sunday afternoon.

A 42-year-old man and two girls, ages 11 and seven, were rescued from the water after their boat overturned at 3:45 p.m.

Sheriff James Kralik said his marine unit was assisted by the Fort Montgomery Fire Department, the Westchester County Police and Sea Tow. The boat was righted and the victims were transported to the West Point Marino aboard Rockland Marine One.

None of the occupants required medical attention, police said.
