| State funding for health care restructuring projects brings millions to the region |
|
ALBANY – Grants to fund healthcare restructuring projects include a number in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. The funds are meant to expand the availability of primary care in local communities, cut duplicative services in hospitals, right-size nursing homes and fund consolidation projects to health care providers. St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital will receive $19.4 million for capital restricting projects for consolidation of inpatient services. Elant at Brandywine, Inc. will receive $1.4 million to decertify 131 beds and close Elant at Brandywine. Bethel Nursing Home, Inc. will receive $67,000 for home care expansion.
