Three charged in connection with Deerpark burglaries

HUGUENOT – Deerpark Town Police believe they have cracked a burglary ring that has plagued the Shin Hollow Road area of the town in recent months.

On September 30, police received a call of a burglary that had just occurred in the same neighborhood and with the assistance of Orange County Sheriff’s office K-9 and City of Port Jervis Police they tracked a man into a wooded area. Bernard Ragan, 21, of 134 Shin Hollow Road, was arrested and charged with two counts of felony burglary in the second degree, one felony count of grand larceny in the fourth degree, and the misdemeanors of criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny.

He was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $2,000 bail.

Further investigation led to some of the stolen property and and two more arrested on October 2.
Ruben Pardo, 31, of Port Jervis and William Bosley, 19, of Montague, NJ were charged with felony criminal possession of stolen property and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon after police recovered a .9 mm handgun that was taken from a residence during one of the break-ins.

Bosley was also found to be in possession of a small amount of heroin and was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
