Body found in river

NEW WINDSOR – New Windsor Town Police Sunday evening discovered a body on the shore of the Hudson River at Plum Point Park.

Police provided no details of the find as of early Monday morning.

Last week police had investigated a possible jumper from the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge; however, no evidence was found to substantiate that.

It is unknown if the recovered body was connected to the bridge report.
