Man arrested, drugs seized in Monticello raid

MONTICELLO – A Monticello man has been charged with possession of drugs after a search of his residence turned up 22 decks of heroin, drug packaging materials and a digital scale. Members of the Crips street gang that were selling heroin from that residence frequented it, police said.

Police arrested Adrian Brownridge, 21, of 34 Fulton Street after they executed a no-knock search warrant as part of the ongoing police “Impact Initiative” targeting gang and drug activity.

Also arrested was a 57-year-old Monticello man who was charged with loitering in the first degree, and three other men were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Brownridge was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of  $25,000 bail.

This was the 11th search warrant to be executed by Monticello Police this year as part of the Impact Initiative targeting guns, drugs and gangs.
