Man indicted for trademark counterfeiting

NEW CITY – A Spring Valley man has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury for possessing counterfeit DVDs and CDs.

Jeffrey Murphy, 46, had in his possession approximately 450 counterfeit DVDs, of which 45 were pornographic, and 282 counterfeit CDs when arrested last December, it is alleged.

Murphy was charged with failure to disclose origin of a recording in the first degree, trademark counterfeiting in the second and third degrees, and obscenity in the third degree.
