MONTICELLO – Are you in the market for a 50 ton crane, a half-ton pickup truck, or used buses? How about old police cars, utility vehicles or other cars? Sullivan County Manager David Fanslau Tuesday announced the county will be conducting a surplus vehicle and equipment auction on Wednesday, May 28 at 6 p.m. in the Hearing Room of the County Legislature. “All of the surplus equipment and vehicles are items that the county departments and agencies no longer use, and their sale will allow the county to realize revenues to improve its fiscal situation,” said County Manager David Fanslau. Previews are available online anytime at www.AARAuctions.com, and in person previews will be offered on Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the three locations: the Maplewood DPW Facility at 745 Route 17B in Mongaup Valley, the Barryville DPW Facility at 450 Route 55 in Barryville and at the County Landfill at 91 Landfill Drive in Monticello. There will be a 15 percent buyers’ premium and all sales are as-is and final. Payment in full is required the day of the sale in guaranteed funds: cashier’s check, money orders or cash. For more information about the auction please contact United Country- Absolute Auctions & Realty, Haroff Auction & Realty at 1-800-243-0061. |
