Teen charged with burglarizing neighbor’s home

GARRISON – The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 16-year-old Garrison boy with committing a burglary at a neighbor’s home. Jason Singh of 75 Aqueduct Road in Garrison was charged with second-degree burglary, a felony.

A local resident reported to police that her Aqueduct Road home had been entered and an Apple computer and Apple IPod were stolen.

As a sheriff’s investigator continued his probe of the incident, the school resource officer at Walter Panas High School in Westchester County developed information about the break-in. A student at the school provided information to the trooper pointing the finger at Singh. He was arrested, arraigned and released without bail to the custody of his mother.

The stolen property was recovered.
