ELDRED – Emergency responders from several areas of Sullivan County Sunday searched wooded areas of Eldred looking for a man who was first reported missing on Friday.

Yulan Fire Chief Tim Schadt told MidHudsonNews.com that Martin Marpicek, 28, was reported missing by his family on Friday. The wide scale search began Sunday morning when several fire departments and forest rangers were called out to scour the woods.

Schadt said the 28-year-old Marpicek’s vehicle was found in the yard of the family residence on Friday, but he has not been located.
