Red Hook court receives grant

RED HOOK - The Village of Red Hook Justice Court has received a grant of $29, 992 from the state.

The grant covers reconstruction and security costs for the newly renovated courtroom, as well as such office equipment as the telephone system, shredders, calculators, the judge's robes and gavel.

"I am deeply gratified that we were able to obtain the funds for a desperately needed upgrade of our court facilities at no direct cost to the Red Hook taxpayers,” said Village Justice Jonah Triebwasser.

Securing the grant was a team effort, he said.
