Communities plagued with stabbing, shooting, armed robbery

MID-HUDSON - Police Thursday night were looking for a suspect in connection with a stabbing in Middletown and a shooting in Poughkeepsie.

The Middletown incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. at the Tall Oaks apartments.

Police indicated the subject fled on foot after the incident. He is said to be 17 years of age.

There is no word on the condition of the victim.

The Poughkeepsie incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. with a report of a person being shot at 24 Cottage Street.

No details of that incident were available late Thursday night.

At 3:20 a.m. Friday, four men robbed a man at gunpoint in Nanuet. Police said the men were armed with a handgun, which was recovered at the scene. They made off with the victim’s wallet, which included a military ID and cash.

The robbers fled in a silver car.
