Westchester pharmacist pleads guilty to federal drug charge

WHITE PLAINS – A White Plains pharmacist Wednesday pled guilty to illegally distributing Oxycodone, a controlled substance, without a valid prescription.

Ivan Romero, 39, pled guilty in White Plains federal court.

From April 2005 to December 2005, he worked as a supervising pharmacist at the Broadway Pharmacy in White Plains and sold 348 pills without prescriptions.

When sentenced, he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $1 million.
