| Officer dragged by fleeing suspect |

KINGSTON – A Kingston teen has been arrested for dragging a police officer with his vehicle. The URGENT task force reports officers saw a drug transaction go down in a vehicle at Clinton Avenue and Franklin Street in Midtown Kingston. An URGENT detective approached the vehicle to arrest the driver, Jeffrey Keith, 17, of 38 Pine Grove Avenue, but he pinned the officer’s arm in the vehicle and drove away, dragging the officer. The detective was able to free himself and the vehicle drove away. Late Wednesday, Keith turned himself n at Kingston City Police headquarters and was charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree, a felony, and resisting arrest. |
