GOP candidate planning to challenge Cahill

Yess: "more
proactive"

KINGSTON – Financial planner Robin Vaccai-Yess is expected to announce in the next several days that she will run as a Republican against incumbent Democratic 101st District State Assemblyman Kevin Cahill.

Yess told MidHudsonNews.com Tuesday that she has been meeting with town Republican committee members as well as members of the Independence and Conservative parties about seeking their support as well.

Yess said there are a number of issues on the front burner that she would tackle if elected.

Tax reform and economic development are the big issues, she said. “We need jobs and w need good paying jobs and I think we have to be more proactive in making that happen to bring businesses, not only to the Hudson Valley, but to the state in general.”

Yess said she expects to announce  her candidacy in the next week or so.
