Ulster County Tourism caboose seeks volunteers

KINGSTON - Ulster County Tourism is seeking volunteers to staff its Tourism Information Caboose at the Thruway Roundabout on Washington Avenue in Kingston. The caboose will open for the season on Thursday, May 22 and is scheduled to close Sunday, October 26. It is open seven days a week, and is staffed solely by volunteers working alone or in pairs for four hour shifts.

“We have a really terrific group of RSVP volunteers, many of whom have served as county tourism ambassadors for numerous years,” said Richard Remsnyder, director of Ulster County Tourism. “Right now where we really need help is on weekends. We would be tremendously grateful if a few people could donate as little as one morning or afternoon a month, especially during our busy tourism season in July, August, and September.”

For more information or to become a volunteer please call, Lisa Berger, director of Marketing, Ulster County Tourism, 845-340-3567 or email: lbrg@co.ulster.ny.us.
