URGENT investigation leads to drug arrest

KINGSTON – The Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team Saturday announced the arrest of a Kingston man on drug charges.

Police arrested Wayne Ferraro, 49, of 119 Downs Street Kingston on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

He was stopped in a vehicle on Lucas Avenue in Kingston after police observed him engaged in an apparent drug transaction.

Officers, with the assistance of K-9 “Dexter” revealed Ferraro had 10 grams of cocaine and almost $900 in cash in his possession.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
