EDDYVILLE – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Saugerties man after they received a report that he had assaulted his girlfriend on his boat in the Eddyville area of the Rondout Creek in the Town of Ulster.

Vincent Banks, 42, was arrested Sunday; the incident allegedly took place on April 19.

Police said their investigation revealed Banks punched and hit the woman several times after they had spent the day on the boat.

The victim suffered several bruises on her face and body and a fractured nose, police said. She was treated and released at a local hospital.

Banks was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Ulster Town Court.
