| New city finance commissioner named in Poughkeepsie |
|
POUGHKEEPSIE – The former CEO of Dutchess County YMCA has been appointed the City of Poughkeepsie’s new commissioner of finance, Mayor John Tkazyik announced Friday. Camilo Bunyi will assume the $82,000 a year job on Monday, May 12. Common council confirmation is not needed with this appointment. Bunyi, who lives in the Town of Poughkeepsie, will now have six months in which to move into the city, since all department heads are required to reside in the City of Poughkeepsie. “Mr. Bunyi will definitely be an asset to the City of Poughkeepsie,” said the mayor. “His years of experience of being CEO of YMCA, and JC Penny, he will definitely be good to lead out $66 million operation here.” Bunyi had applied to a national search for the post. |
