CORTLANDT MANOR – State Police Friday identified the woman who was killed in a head-on crash on Route 9 in the Town of Cortlandt Thursday afternoon as 79-year-old Ellen Boltt of Ossining.

Police said her car was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Jill Anyon, 57, of Garrison. Anyon’s car crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck the victim’s vehicle, according to police.

Boltt was pronounced dead at the scene of the 5 p.m. crash. A passenger in her car suffered minor injuries. Police said Anyon sustained a broken nose.

No charged have been filed at this point, said police, who are still investigating a cause for the crash.
