Rotunda in the new LEC

KINGSTON – Ulster County District Attorney Holley Carnright Thursday will announce the results of the grand jury investigation into the planning and construction of the county’s Law Enforcement Center.

The jail and sheriff’s administrative office building was years late and millions over budget when it was finally opened last year.

A special investigative committee, with subpoena powers, was impaneled last year to dig into the reasons for the massive cost overruns and a special grand jury began its own investigation into the construction of the LEC.
