STEWART AIRPORT – Zip Aviation, a charter helicopter company that flies into the West 30th Street Heliport in Manhattan, will begin service to Stewart Airport. This will be the first regularly scheduled service for the company, its vice president Katharina Roelcke told MidHudsonNews.com.

The nine-year-old business will make the official announcement at Stewart on Wednesday along with Pacific Aviation International, a fixed base operator at the Newburgh airport, and airport operator the Port Authority.

While the start up is targeted for July, the frequencies of the daily flights and the ticket prices have not yet been firmed up.

Zip Aviation presently operates four helicopters with charter flights from Manhattan. It is headquartered at Westchester County Airport. They hold four or six passengers plus crew.

Zip Aviation provides on-demand charter flights to the heliport and from there to the Big Three New York airports as well as other destination corporate travel.
