Two arrested in unrelated sexual offenses

MONTICELLO – Village Police in Monticello have arrested two men on unrelated sexual charges.

Police charged Joshua Keator, 21, of Monticello, with felony rape in the third degree and misdemeanors for endangering the welfare of a child and sexual misconduct.

Keator was arrested following an investigation into a complaint that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl on several occasions during the month of May at a residence in Monticello.

He was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail pending a future court appearance.

In an unrelated case, police arrested David Marcum 32, of Monticello on a warrant from New York City Police charging him with the felony of criminal sex act in the first degree. He allegedly engaged in a sex act with a five-year-old boy. The incident reportedly took place in June at a residence in the Bronx.

Marcum was located at his place of employment in Monticello and turned over to NYPD.
