NEWBURGH – Unitex, the large commercial laundry facility on Dickson Street in Newburgh, has been completed and is up and running.

Business has been so good in the initial phase of operation that Mayor Nicholas Valentine said the company is thinking of expanding already.

It is a state-of-the-art facility, he said. Over 200 people are working there with the company conducting massive community outreach to hire local labor, the mayor said. “It continues to be a huge success.”

The project cost over $20 million to construct.
