PEEKSKILL - A Peekskill man was arrested on felony drug charges Thursday night following a three month investigation by narcotics investigators from Peekskill and Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. Clyde Vaughn, 34, of Leila Street in Peekskill, is facing charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance third degree after being found with over 200 grams of crack cocaine and over 300 grams of powder cocaine. The drugs were found in a vehicle owned by Vaughn following the execution of a search warrant late Thursday afternoon at his residence and business which is located on Albany Post Road in Buchanan. Investigators also seized over $6,000 in currency, a 2006 Range Rover, a Kawasaki motorcycle, and the dump truck, as proceeds from illegal narcotics sales. Vaughn is currently on probation until 2010. Also assisting in the investigation were members of the New York State Police, The Village of Ossining Police, and a K-9 Officer from the Town of Harrison Police Department. Peekskill Police Chief Eugene Tumolo commended the officers involved in the investigation for their dedication and skill which has resulted in a major dealer in the Northern Westchester area being taken off the street.
