Restaurateur charged with sexual abuse toward female staff members

WURTSBORO – State Police have charged the owner of Toscana Restaurant on Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with sexual abuse toward female members of his staff.

State Police at Wurtsboro charged Roberto Faramarz, 49, of Mongaup Valley with sexual abuse in the first degree, a felony, and sexual abuse in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

Faramarz is accused of numerous counts of sexual abuse, which were perpetrated against female staff at the restaurant. The incidents occurred between October 2008 and December 2008.

Faramarz was arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail without bail pending a future court appearance.
