| Local cop charged with having sex with underage girl |

CATSKILL – A Town of Hunter police officer has been charged with having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an underage girl. State Police and Greene County District Attorney Terry Wilhelm Tuesday said Nathan Van Fleet, 30, of Durham, was charged with rape in the third degree and criminal sex act in the third degree, both felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child and official misconduct, both misdemeanors. The incidents that precipitated the arrest allegedly occurred both when he was on duty as a police officer and when he was off duty. Van Fleet was arraigned and remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. |
