EAST FISHKILL – East Fishkill Town recreation commission officials have been exploring for years the possibility of constructing a sports dome or field house, and now, the public will decide in a November 4 ballot if they want to spend up to $3 million to build one.

The town board has voted to place the issue on a public referendum, said Councilwoman Ethel Walker.

She suggested the town might use some of a $1 million recreation development fund to help offset the cost.

If approved, the remainder of the project would be funded through bonds.
