Two arrested on drugs, weapons possession charges

YONKERS – Two Yonkers men have been arrested and charged with possession drugs and weapons. The arrests of Henry Rivera, 31, and Sixto Bautista, 24, was made by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Initiative investigators and Yonkers Police Narcotics Unit.

The men were in a Range Rover when they were stopped on Mile Square Road in Yonkers during an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Police recovered 165 grams of heroin and just under $3,500 in cash from the vehicle. They also recovered two handguns – a .357 Ruger and a .45 cal. Semi-automatic pistol – as well as seven grams of cocaine, 39 Oxycodone pills, a scale and other materials usually used for packaging illegal drugs during a search warrant search of their residence.

They were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree.

They were remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending further court action.
