Forgery charges lodged against man for using stolen credit card

MONTICELLO – A 47-year-old New Brunswick, NJ man has been arrested by Monticello Village Police in connection with the use of a stolen credit card.

Police said Robert Ballman was charged with three counts of forgery in the second degree, possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, both felonies, and misdemeanor criminal impersonation in the second degree.

He allegedly used a stolen credit card to make purchases at two Monticello businesses last Thursday, August 7, and forged the name of the credit cardholder on the receipts.

When he was arrested he gave police a false name and forged the name of another person on his fingerprint cards during booking.
