SUNY New Paltz leads state college enrollment

Hot campus, according to Newsweek

New Paltz – The State University College at New Paltz may be leading the pact of other state colleges in terms of enrolments, but it is not sitting on its laurels.

New Paltz has the highest number of freshman and transfer students of all state schools, but college President Steven Poskanzer said the school has hired Lisa Angeloni, dean of enrollment at the College of New Jersey to conduct a study of enrollment at New Paltz.

“She also happens to be a former associate dean of admissions here at New Paltz, so she not only knows us well, but has affection for this place and gets our culture and our history,” he said. “I am looking forward to reading her report.”

New Paltz recently was named the hottest smallest state school by Newsweek magazine.
