Police look for identity of dead diver

Newburgh Town Police today are seeking to identify the body of a man pulled from the Hudson River Sunday morning.

Police said the man 's body was discovered by the Coast Guard floating in the river near the Roseton power plant. He was in full scuba gear.

Police described the man as a white male, 5'7" tall, 160 pounds, with dark brown shoulder length hair, moustache and goatee. He was wearing two gold tone small hoop earrings in both ears.

He had a tattoo of a cross with the initials "CMM" on the left side of his chest and a second tattoo on his left shoulder of an angel with yellow hair.

Anyone who may have information about the individual is asked to call the Detective Division at 845-564-1100.
