Man arrested in connection with computer stolen from hospital

TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE - A Hyde Park man has been arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a felony, in connection with a stolen computer.

Poughkeepsie Town Police arrested Timothy Allen Vail, 37, of 693 Violet Avenue in Hyde Park after an investigation into the theft of a laptop from the St. Francis Hospital waiting room on April 16. The computer was valued at over $1,000, police said.

Police said the investigation is continuing.

Vail was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
