WARWICK – A Warwick woman died following a head-on crash at the intersection of Route 94 South and County Route 1 in the Town of Warwick.
Town Police said at about 6:20 p.m. on Friday, February 8, a Toyota driven by Gloria Romeo, 75, crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with an Audi driven by a 23-year-old Highland Lakes, New Jersey man. He taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick.
Romeo was transported to Orange Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead several hours later.
`There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
The Warwick Fire Department and Warwick Ambulance Corps responded to the scene.
The accident and cause of death are being investigated by Warwick Police and the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office.
