Stony Point man arrested on parole violation

STONY POINT – Police in Stony Point have arrested a local man on a charge of violating state parole.

Robert Rodriguez, 30, of Stony Point, was arrested after being observed driving away from the scene of an overdose in which officers administered Narcan to revive the victim at the Budget Motor Inn on South Liberty Drive. He was arrested on the state charge and transported to state parole officials.

No charges were pending in Stony Point.
