Germantown woman charged with trying to smuggle drugs into prison


SHAWANGUNK - A Germantown was arrested on Tuesday and charged with possession of morphine pills what she was inside the Shawangunk Correctional Facility as a visitor.

Kendel Holmes-Bruce, 35, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and promoting prison contraband, both as felonies. She was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
