Police investigate Congers residential break-in

CONGERS – Clarkstown Police are investigating a residential burglary at a home on Kings Highway in Congers.

The 36-year-old homeowner and her three-year-old son had returned home from a family gathering at 8:50 Saturday evening and as she pulled into the driveway, she spotted a man with a dark hoodie standing in her living room. The suspect saw her and took off from the rear of the home.

The victim and her son ran back to their car where she called police.

Responding police conducted an interior and exterior search with the aid of K-9 units. No suspect was located.

Investigation revealed some cash and jewelry were taken from the home. There was no sign of forced entry.
