Pleasant Valley man killed when truck rolls over him

PLEASANT VALLEY – A 36-year-old Pleasant Valley man, who was lying on the ground working on the underside of his Ford F250 pickup truck, was killed when the vehicle rolled backwards on top of him, State Police said.

The accident that killed Timothy Russell, Jr. occurred around 10:35 a.m. on Wednesday (today) at 113 Tyrell Road in the Town of Pleasant Valley.

Members of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services EMS arrived on the scene to render medical assistance; however, Russell was pronounced dead by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner.

Police said the incident, which appears to be accidental, remains under investigation.
