Diana takes over as Wallkill supervisor

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Former Orange County Executive Edward Diana is back in public office. He was sworn in as Wallkill Town Supervisor on Monday.

Speaking before an overflow crowd at town hall, Republican Diana said public safety and the town’s financial stability are among his top priorities.

“I will treat your dollars just like they were mine and the other one is quality of life. That’s a whole host of things – infrastructure, the roads we drive on, sewer, parks, recreation – all of those things that are your quality of life.”

Public service is the best way to serve your community, Diana said, noting he has done it for some 40 years.
