Fire heavily damages Jeffersonville home

JEFFERSONVILLE – Fire at a two-story house at 4850 Route 52 in Jeffersonville Thursday morning left the building uninhabitable as the blaze caused a lot of damage.

Firefighters from several departments were called to the scene shortly after 7 a.m. and remained for over four hours.

One person lived at the house but was not home at the time of the two-alarm fire.

There were no injuries.

Sullivan County Fire Coordinator John Hauschild said the cause is being investigated by the county fire investigation team.
