Fishkill Village Police partner with MedicAlert

FISHKILL – The Village of Fishkill Police Department is partnering with MedicAlert Foundation to offer a free program aimed at protecting residents with dementia and autism who are at-risk for wandering emergencies.

Through the program village police will be able to enroll local residents and their caregivers via an online portal, into the MedicAlert national registry/database to receive a free medical identification bracelet and free 24/7 emergency support services.

The MedicAlert charity reports a 98 percent success rate for locating missing persons when MedicAlert products and services are used.

Residents who have loved ones at-risk are encouraged to enroll in the program by contacting Police Commissioner Glenn Scofield, Jr. at 845-896-4256. Residents may also register at police headquarters at 4 Wood Place.
