MAMARONECK – Democratic Westchester County Executive candidate George Latimer was endorsed Tuesday by over 100 environmental leaders and supporters from across the county.
Westchester Environmentalists for Latimer is a consortium of local public officials, educators and environmental group board members have backed him because of his environmental position.
Contrary to the Administration’s environmental stance in Washington, Latimer said if elected, he would re-establish the county’s Global Warming Task Force.
Latimer faces incumbent Republican Robert Astorino next month.
