Ellenville opens warming center

ELLENVILLE – As the region continues to be blasted by frigid temperatures, the Village of Ellenville has opened a warming station located in the courtroom on the first floor of Village Hall.

If anyone is without heat, they may come to the warming station, which will be staffed to assist with issues of obtaining heat or with temporary housing needs.

The village police department also urges residents to make sure they check on those neighbors that are ill and particularly the elderly.

If a village resident is unable to come to the warming station because of physical limitations, call the police department at 845-647-4422.
