New president named at O&R

Sanchez

PEARL RIVER – Orange and Rockland Utilities has named a new president and CEO. Robert Sanchez previously served as the senior vice president of Corporate Shared Services at Consolidated Edison of New York, the parent company of O&R.

He also was named a member of the Board of Directors of O&R and Rockland Electric Company.

Sanchez succeeds Timothy Cawley, who served as O&R’s president and CEO since 2013. Cawley has been named president of ConEd, succeeding Craig Ivey, who will retire at the end of the month.

A 27-year veteran of ConEd, Sanchez has served in several positions of increased responsibility since joining the company in 1990, including president of Brooklyn and Queens Electric Operations and vice president of System and Transmission Operations.
