Saugerties school district receives state funds for pre-K

ALBANY – The Saugerties school district is the only one of 16 high-need districts around the state to receive funding to increase access to quality pre-kindergarten for three- and four-year-old students.

The district will receive $265,054 for that purpose.

Funding was awarded to school districts based on the quality of the application and other factors, including district and student need, efforts to target the highest need students, and efforts to maximize total number of children served in pre-K programs.
