More drug arrests in Port Jervis

PORT JERVIS - City Police with the continued assistance of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group, the Town of Deerpark Police Department and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office announce several felony level narcotics related arrests in the City of Port Jervis resulting from continued undercover investigations targeting the illicit sale of heroin and crack cocaine in the city.

On August 25th, members of the Port Jervis City Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Department Special Operations Group and Town of Deerpark Police Department executed a “No Knock” Search Warrant at an apartment located at 120 Front Street resulting from an investigation into the illicit sales of crack cocaine. Keyvette Wallington, 31, and Taina Wallington, 36, both of 120 Front Street, were charged with two counts each of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree with intent to sell (b felonies), criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the 2nd degree. The defendants are alleged to have sold crack cocaine during an undercover investigation. The defendants were held without bail pending an arraignment in Port Jervis City Court.

On August 24, Carlos Perez, 50, of Huguenot, was arrested and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, both felonies. Perez is accused of selling crack cocaine in the city. He was sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Rachelle Reed, 36, of Sparrowbush, NY was arrested on August 23 on Ball Street and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell. Reed was arrested after selling a quantity of the controlled substance Suboxone to an undercover Port Jervis Police Officer near Ball Street and Seward Avenue. He was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
