Arrest made in murder of bungalow colony caretaker

MONTICELLO – The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the murder of John Ferrari, Jr., 61, of River Vale, New Jersey. He was the caretaker at the Pardess Bungalow Colony at 236 Old Liberty Road in the Town of Thompson.


Bolden

Undersheriff Eric Chaboty said Rickey Bolden, Jr., 36, of Bedford Avenue in Monticello was charged with murder and committed to the Sullivan County Jail without bail following his arraignment before Town of Thompson Judge Miller.

The sheriff’s office is being assisted in the investigation by the State Police BCI, Forensic Identification Bureau and District Attorney’s Office.

Authorities have not released a motive or how Ferrari was killed.
