Protection order violation leads to arrest on several charges

WALLKILL - Members of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office report the arrest of William Rivera, 38, of Chase Road in the hamlet of Wallkill, for misdemeanor trespass weapon possession, and stalking, and the violations of harassment and trespass. 

On July 2nd, 2015 at approximately 1:34 a.m., Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Shawangunk for a 911 call reporting a domestic dispute. An investigation revealed that Rivera had had harassed and stalked the victim. Rivera left the area prior to the arrival of deputies but subsequently surrendered. Further investigation revealed that Rivera also illegally in possessed of a shotgun.

Rivera was released on his own recognizance to appear in Town of Shawangunk Justice Court.
