NJ man charged with stealing car repair payments at dealership |

MIDDLETOWN – State Police have arrested a Bayonne, New Jersey man on charges that while working as a parts and service representative at a Middletown area car dealership, he took cash payments from customers for auto repairs and stole the money. It was also charged that Christopher Palumbo, 37, would then release the vehicles back to the customers without any repairs having been completed. On Friday, June 6, troopers tracked Palumbo by Sullivan County where he was arrested on charges of grand larceny and falsifying business records. Palumbo was sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. |
